About the Organization

Gardiens du LYS was founded in 2014 with the goal of bringing together Quebecers. The size and commitment of our members now allows us to aspire to the greatest ambitions in the Star Citizen universe.

Reason for Existence and Vision
#

The organization was created with the goal of gathering enough Quebecers together to have a credible and respected voice in what might one day become a francophone alliance.

In practice, we are now part of the major organizations and will be able to make the decisions we deem best for the organization and our members on the international stage.

This size has given us resilience through time by creating a francophone ecosystem in our time zone, allowing players to enjoy all types of gameplay that have emerged with the game’s development.

The Mission

Bring together francophone players from all walks of life in a mature and respectful environment that will allow everyone to fully enjoy the potential that Star Citizen and its community can offer.

Player Types
#

The organization is built around cores of players of all types: casuals, serious players, competitive, hardcore, players with a lot of time, others with less, etc.

Gameplay Types
#

The organization supports and will attempt to put in place what is needed to facilitate all types of gameplay that interest our players.

However, it is possible and likely that some guidelines will be imposed on certain types of activities in order to minimize negative impacts on other members or the organization.

Organization Size
#

The size of the organization is not a goal, but one of the tools that allows us to achieve our objectives.

Philosophy in Planning and Organizational Evolution

  • Realism and pragmatism: We avoid “wishful thinking.” Our priority is the immediate advancement of our players and the organization.
  • Proactive vision: While focusing on the present, we strive to stay one step ahead of upcoming trends and challenges.

Recruitment
#

Our organization is open to all playstyles: casual, competitive, or hardcore. We welcome newcomers and veterans alike.
